Does Halifax Health - Children’s Medical Center accept new patients?

Yes. Children’s Medical Center is accepting new patients at all three of our convenient locations in Ormond Beach, Palm Coast and Port Orange. Please contact our office directly or confirm with your insurance provider that the physicians at Children’s Medical Center are on your plan.

Does Halifax Health - Children’s Medical Center take Medicaid? 

No, at this time we do not accept Medicaid, however we have two facilities that do accept this insurance. Please contact Halifax Health - Keech Pediatric Neighborhood Care at 386-425-3553 or Halifax Health - Center for Family & Sports Medicine at 386-425-4165.

Do any of your providers Spanish? 

Yes, we have two providers that speak Spanish.  If these physicians are not available, we offer a live/on-line translator service thru Stratus.  Other languages spoken by some of our providers include: Urdu, French, Hungarian and Romanian.

Do your providers perform circumcision procedure? 

No, we do not offer circumcisions at Halifax Health – Children’s Medical Center. To schedule a circumcision for your newborn, we suggest contacting the mother’s private OB/GYN physician.

Do the physicians at Halifax Health – Children’s Medical Center do inpatient hospital rounds?  

Yes, the physicians at Halifax Health – Children’s Medical Center make inpatient rounds only at Halifax Health. Our physicians see all newborns within 24 hours of birth when born at Halifax Health.  Other admissions are seen by the Halifax Health Hospitalist unless our physicians are called in for a consult.
