Here you can take advantage of leading-edge preventative care plans and technologies long before there has been any manifestation of sickness. Halifax Health's genetic navigator can provide the earliest genetic testing possible, screening your family history and general health, running a thorough assessment for any predisposition to cancer, and recommending a prophylactic treatment plan as necessary to ensure your continued good health. Our team can also guide you towards specific lifestyle activities and nutrition plans that help you optimize your own health in all kinds of ways.
You will find that here we have made the greatest commitment possible to doing whatever it takes to achieve the best patient outcomes. For example, your team of specialists is one of the few to practice Respiratory Gating, a sophisticated new technology that takes into consideration every slight movement of a tumor and compensates for even the merest breathing motion on your part to deliver the most precise radiation therapy in the world. As a result, your healthy tissue is spared in this new process, and your recovery time is dramatically accelerated.
Above all, it is the expertise and caring of the people here that makes the difference. Our oncologists work closely with physicians from national Cancer Centers to provide the best solutions on a case-by-case basis. This is why even patients with some of the most challenging cases seek treatment here, knowing that the team of experts on our Tumor Review Board will assess each situation and create a treatment plan that maximizes each patient’s opportunity to be in full remission as quickly as possible.
And our specially-trained nursing and clinical team offers the highly dedicated and supportive care you may need during your journey back to good health.
