DAYTONA BEACH, FLA. – (March 23, 2018) – The five-year-old partnership between Halifax Health and Brooks Rehabilitation has expanded to include five outpatient rehabilitation clinics in Volusia and Flagler counties.
“This partnership gives us the opportunity to provide a seamless transition of patients across the continuum of care. We have an excellent team of clinicians from acute care, inpatient rehabilitation and now outpatient services. The rehabilitation services in outpatient are key in helping our patients return to the highest level of function and recovery and we are very fortunate to now have those services available to our community,” explains Astrid Gonzalez-Parrilla, executive director of Rehabilitative Services for Halifax Health.

Rehabilitation services offered include physical, occupational and speech therapies, with the following specialties: neurological, geriatrics, orthopedics, women’s health and vestibular/balance. Each outpatient location covers different areas of expertise.
Commonly treated conditions include arthritis, neck and soft tissue injuries, stroke, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, hip fractures, brain injury, facial weakness/paralysis, joint replacements, and cognitive remediation.
