What is IORT
The INTRABEAM ® Radiotherapy System delivers a single fraction of radiotherapy during the time of lumpectomy preceding subsequently prescribed radiation therapy. This helps shorten treatment that may have otherwise taken five to six weeks to complete.

UF Health Vascular Surgery at Halifax Health treat abdominal aneurysms by surgical repair or removal of the aneurysm, or inserting a metal mesh coil (stent) to support the blood vessel and prevent rupture.
UF Health vascular surgeons manage deep vein thrombosis through a combination of therapies. Deep vein thrombosis (DVT ) is when a blood clot forms in a deep vein, one that drains blood from a major area of the body. If the clot travels through the veins to other parts of the body, it can cause serious complications or even death.
At UF Health Vein Center at Halifax Health, we treat varicose veins. Varicose veins, or the smaller “spider veins,” are protruding or visible veins in the lower legs which can be embarrassing to some people.
