Halifax Health has added several new employees to its Human Resources Department.
The department’s new employees are: Angel DeJesus, recruitment; Ann Bueke, business partner; Cheri Paquin, manager of organizational development; and Camelia Acevedo, registered nurse recruiter.

Angel DeJesus joins Halifax Health from Nemours Children’s Hospital in Orlando where he oversaw the hiring of more than 200 employees for the hospital’s opening. DeJesus also previously worked at Orlando Health where he managed a wide range of positions within the organization related to recruitment, leadership and staff development. A Certified Diversity Recruiter, he has more than 10 years of experience in healthcare human resources and holds bachelor’s degrees in business administration and human resources management.
Ann Bueke most recently worked in the consulting field as a human resources manager and generalist. She has more than 10 years of extensive experience in the area of recruitment, employee on-boarding, training and development as well as many other human resources responsibilities. Bueke holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a master’s degree in human resources development from WebsterUniversity.
Cheri Paquin is the manager of organizational development for Halifax Health. She was previously employed at St. VincentHospital and Healthcare Services in Indianapolis, Indiana and brings experience in designing and implementing multi-tiered management and leadership development programs. Paquin has a bachelor’s degree in therapeutic health and recreation from KentStateUniversity and a master’s degree from IndianaUniversity in adult education, with a concentration in human resources development and human performance and improvement.
Camelia Acevedo is Halifax Health’s new registered nurse recruiter. Acevedo has been a Halifax Health employee since 2008. She began her career as a registered nurse intern in Intensive Surgical Care before joining the Women’s Services Department. She is currently studying to become an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner at Chamberlain College of Nursing.
