(January 9, 2017) – Halifax Health - Auxiliary is proud to announce Laurie Hallman as Halifax Health Volunteer of the Month for January 2017.
A Ponce Inlet resident, Hallman has been a member of Halifax Health – Auxiliary since January 2015 and has accumulated 500 hours of volunteer service. She currently volunteers several days a week in Halifax Health Medical Center’s Medical Oncology unit.
In addition to volunteering at Halifax Health, Hallman has volunteered with many other community organizations for several years, including: the Epiphany Catholic Church Thrift Shop in Port Orange (16 years) and the Pregnancy Crisis Center in Daytona Beach (three years). She has also collected stuffed animals and toys for Camp Boggy Creek for 10 years.
Halifax Health - Auxiliary is a local charitable 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to serve the community through partnership with Halifax Health. The Auxiliary has been operating since 1932 and serves over 400 volunteer members contributing more than 80,000 hours annually. Halifax Health – Auxiliary also assists with general fundraising efforts through their Gift Shop, sponsored sales and partnership with First Uniform – the only in-house healthcare apparel and accessory store in the Daytona Beach area.
