(February 15, 2017) – About 100 area women attended Girlfriends’ Guide to a Healthy Heart, an interactive seminar presented by Halifax Health on February 11. Held at Halifax Health Medical Center in Daytona Beach, the seminar featured cooking demonstrations as well as presentations on the importance of maintaining a healthy heart, meditation, and coping with stress and anxiety. Above, the event’s keynote speaker, Eileen Handberg, a research professor of medicine and director of the cardiovascular clinical trials program for the University of Florida’s Division of Cardiovascular Medicine, speaks to attendees.
