DAYTONA BEACH, FLA. – (June 14, 2019) – Halifax Health-Foundation raised $180,000 during its 2019 Bahama Casual gala event held Friday, June 7 at The Shores Resort and Spa in Daytona Beach Shores.

Attendees of the gala were treated to lip sync performances featuring the music of Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Donna Summer and the Love Dancers, and Soul Train dancers.  A special tribute featuring music from Halifax Health Board of Commissioners member Glenn Ritchey’s former band, The Mustangs, capped the night off with songs from one of the group’s albums.  In addition, a Bee Gees tribute band provided the remainder of the evening’s musical entertainment.

Proceeds from Bahama Casual will go toward the foundation’s mission of providing education, as well as purchasing new, life-saving technology, for present and future generations of the Greater Daytona Beach Area.
