Twin Lakes Surgery Center is a state-of-the-art, 15,000 square foot outpatient surgery center and ambulatory surgical center located in Daytona Beach, Florida owned by Halifax Health.
Twin Lakes Surgery Center is equipped with five operating suites, two minor procedure rooms, twelve pre-operative stations and ten post-operative stations. The surgery center is available to all physicians who practice at Halifax Health.
o Cardiovascular Surgery-Limited cases such as pacemaker placement and battery changes
o Podiatric Surgery-Common procedures include bunionectomy, hammertoe corrections, fusions, foot fracture repair, and joint replacement
o OB/GYN Surgery - Common cases include Hysteroscopy, D&C, Conization/biopsy, and laparoscopic examinations
o Ophthalmology Surgery- Cataract repair and various laser procedures including retina surgery
o Orthopedic Surgery-Common cases include shoulder, knee, ankle and elbow arthroscopy and all associated cases including ACL reconstruction, meniscal repair and rotator cuff repair. Open surgical procedures such as fracture repair, hardware removal, partial knee replacement, joint manipulations, open rotator cuff surgery and kyphoplasty
o Plastic Surgery-Skin lesion removal with complex reconstruction including flaps and skin grafts, cosmetic facial and eye procedures, breast augmentation/revision
o Urology Surgery- Prostate surgery, cystoscopy, stent placement and removal, kidney stone excision including lithotripsy
o Pain Management- Epidural or facet injections with fluoroscopy, spinal cord stimulator and radiofrequency ablations
o Gastroenterology- Upper and lower endoscopy
o EKG Services–Pre-op testing including EKG and blood drawing services
o Radiology Services- Portable C-arm available for cases requiring x-ray such as arthrograms or joint injections requiring radiologic guidance
o Other studies are done at the adjacent Twin Lakes Imaging Center via Radiology Associates
o Breast needle localizations are done at Twin Lakes Imaging Center. Patients then come up the elevator to the surgery center for biopsy which helps prevent loss of needle position and is very convenient for patients
