Diabetes Education Center

The Center for Diabetes Education at Halifax Health Medical Center offers a comprehensive diabetes education program that is recognized by the American Diabetes Association. Certified Diabetes Educators and dietitians help people learn how to manage and live with diabetes whether they are newly diagnosed or have had diabetes for many years. Education is provided through one-on-one appointments, as well as group classes. Gestational Diabetes counseling, pre-diabetes education, insulin-pump training and Medical Nutrition Therapy services are also offered. Family members are welcome to join in the learning process.
