The ED at Halifax Health is equipped with the latest technology available, including:

  • Florida's first GE CT750 HD scanner, which delivers clearer images of the heart while using less radiation

  • A private energy plant with generators able to support the entire hospital for five days

Helipad

A private, nonstop elevator connects the helipad (on the roof of the 10-story France Tower) to the trauma pod in the ED. This allows care to be delivered quickly, when seconds matter.
