East Coast Bariatrics, located at Halifax Health Medical Center - Daytona Beach, Florida Campus. The surgical weight loss program is a comprehensive support program for the bariatric surgical treatment of patients with clinically severe obesity.

Our surgical program is unique to our community. Our multidisciplinary team of professionals includes physicians, nurses, dietitians, psychotherapists, exercise physiologists and spiritual counselors. Weight Loss Surgery

Bariatric surgical procedures reduce the size of the stomach. The smaller stomach can only hold a tiny portion of food at a time. Weight loss surgery operations include Roux-en-Y, Gastric Bypass surgery and Laparoscopic Adjustable Gastric Banding also known as Lap Band® surgery. These surgical treatments for obesity are only an option for people who are dangerously overweight, due to the potential for serious complications.
