Family & Sports Medicine

Family Medicine Services

The Family Medicine Center has provided quality care to patients for the last 30 years throughout the region. We care for common medical problems like diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol as well as mental health issues. Our practice is actively involved in pediatric care, with two board certified pediatricians and eight board certified family practice faculty and 24 residents. We provide obstetrical care and GYN procedures (colposcopy and LEEP). We offer exercise treadmill testing and perform skin procedures, casting, splinting, and many other common procedures.

We are proud to have a board certified Ph. D. psychologist on the faculty, who can provide counseling for common mental health issues for individuals and their families.

Sports Medicine Services

We have 3 CAQ certified sports medicine physicians who provide musculoskeletal care for problems of the knee, shoulder, elbow, hand, back, foot and ankle, and the medical care of athletes. We are comfortable managing simple fractures (casting and splinting) and have close working relationships with several local orthopedic surgeons if same-day telephone consultation is required for surgical cases.

We frequently treat common medical problems include concussions, exercise-induced hypertension and the unique needs of the female athlete. We also provide nutritional counseling for athletes, fitness testing and exercise counseling and prescription.

Our Center is proud to be affiliated with these local schools and organizations:
  • Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University
  • Bethune-Cookman University
  • Daytona State College
  • Mainland High School
  • Seabreaze High School
  • Atlantic High School
  • Ormond Tri-Y
