About Us
The library has been a fixture at Halifax Health since 1963, offering help to physicians, pharmacists, nurses, clinicians, educators, and other staff, as well as patients, family and friends from all over the area. We have kept up with the times and the changing trends in the biomedical sciences, and strive to advance our knowledge of information needs and delivery methods. We hope that you will continue to use the library and look forward to many more years of successful service.

Prior to 2007, the library had more shelf space available for books. During this time it was possible to carry both newer and older editions of common texts. Unfortunately, this is no longer the case. Multiple copies and older editions of texts are no longer housed. Thus, the books must remain in the library to allow access to all users.
