Gynecologic Endoscopy Fellowship
The Board of the Fellowship in Gynecologic Endoscopy approved Halifax Health to be the first program in Florida and one of only 18 in the nation to participate in the accredited Gynecologic Endoscopy Fellowship program.
Since July 2008, this one-year program provides fellows with top level training for laparoscopic and robotic surgery using Halifax Health facilities including Halifax Health Medical Center and Halifax Health - Medical Center of Port Orange. This Fellowship is under the medical directorship of Halifax Health surgeons including Kelly Molpus, MD; Joe Bianchi, MD; David Ramshaw, MD; Mark White, MD; Cynthia Baldwin, MD; Steve Cortez, MD and Matthew Merrell, MD.
The fellow works with the preceptor and other designated members of the fellowship training team in the office and the operating room. The fellow participates in the pre-operative, intraoperative and post-operative care of patients.
The program is affiliated with the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL) and the Society of Reproductive Surgeons and provides an opportunity for gynecologists who have completed their residency to acquire additional skills in advanced endoscopy and reproductive surgery.
