Tanya Anim, MD


AnimDr. Anim attended Florida State University where she majored in Psychology and minored in Chemistry. As an undergraduate she founded Total Health and Empowerment for Ladies of Color (a minority women's peer health education organization). She graduated Cum Laude and matriculated to FSU College of Medicine because of its dedication to preparing physicians to serve the underserved. There, Tanya started on her path to becoming a Family Physician by serving as the FSU Family Medicine Interest Group President, American Academy of Family Physicians' Family Medicine Interest Group Regional Coordinator, and National Coordinator. Tanya currently serves as the Student Chair of the AAFP National Conference of Family Medicine Residents and Medical Students 2010 and as a guest editor for the Florida Family Physician. Tanya is also a National Health Service Corps Scholar and member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Her interests within Family Medicine include obstetrics and women's health, mental health, procedures, and minority health issues. Tanya's outside interests include cooking, swimming, going to amusement parks, and playing with her dog, Phoenix.
