Peter Rippey, M.D.
Dr. Rippey joins the Sports Medicine Fellowship Program from his residency at Halifax Health Family Medicine Residency Program. Dr. Rippey attended the University of Missouri-Columbia as an undergraduate majoring in occupational therapy. Upon graduation he started his own business providing ergonomic consulting and rehab services. Wanting to be more involved with his patients health, Peter attended the School of Medicine at his alma mater. In addition to his studies he continued working as an occupational therapist and found time to actively volunteer as a member of several service organizations. During his medical school years, Peter volunteered to dress up as "TJ Tiger", the mascot of the University's pediatric hospital. He was an inductee into the Rollins Society, one of the seven secret honor societies at the University . His hobbies outside of medicine include running, weight training, cooking, small engine repair, woodworking, and camping. Peter enjoys spending time with his wife Julie and their two daughters, Isabella and Kaiya.
