Halifax Health - Hospice of Volusia/Flagler to Host 2nd Annual Rubber Duck Race

Halifax Health - Hospice of Volusia/Flagler will send thousands of toy ducks down the Halifax River for its 2nd Annual Rubber Duck Race at Jackie Robinson Park in Daytona Beach on Sunday, October 25.

The event includes a festival with music, food, arts & crafts, face painting, clowns and more from 11 am to 4 pm. The rubber duck race begins at 2 pm and the winners are announced at 3 pm.

Rubber ducks can be adopted up until 1 pm the day of the race and adoptees have the chance to win great prizes including $3,000 for the 1st place duck.

All proceeds from the event help support The Lawrence E. Whelan BeginAgain Grief Centers. The Centers provide crucial support and understanding to children and families in Volusia and Flagler counties who have experienced the death of a loved one. Through physical activity, art, drama, music and other activities, children ages 4-18 can share their feelings in a safe and child-friendly environment. In addition, they have the chance to bond with other grieving children and, as a result, discover they are not alone.
