Halifax Health - Auxiliary Donates $150,000 to Foundation
The Halifax Health - Auxiliary recently presented the Halifax Health Foundation with a check for $150,000. The money was raised through member donations, Gift Shop revenues, and sponsored on-site fundraisers and sales.
The funds donated are utilized to purchase state-of-the-art technology and programs to promote and enhance the general health and wellness of the community.
During the past 19 years, the Halifax Health - Auxiliary has donated more than $3,031,000 to benefit the organization.
The Halifax Health - Auxiliary, which is comprised of more than 350 active members, serves to support the hospital and its patients; relay the hospital's accomplishments and goals to the public, and fundraise for the institution's many charitable giving programs.
Auxilians service assignments include Gift Shops, Patient Transport, Family Waiting Room, Courtesy Cart, Information Desk, Halifax Health - Medical Center of Port Orange, Centers for Oncology, Patient Service Rounds, and over 40 other exciting volunteering opportunities.
Halifax Health - Auxiliary outgoing President David Williamson and incoming President Dorothy Storey recently presented Halifax Health Foundation Executive Director Joe Petrock with a donation check for $150,000.
