$15,000 Raised for Halifax Health Foundation

The second annual Battle at the Beach was held on November 6, 7 and 8. This event raised $15,000 for the Halifax Health Foundation which includes the Betty Jane France Center for Pediatrics - Speediatrics.

Battle at the Beach, hosted by the Daytona Beach Police Department Traffic Unit and the Volusia County Sheriff's Office, was held at Bruce Rossmeyer's Destination Daytona and included activities such as a meet & greet, a charity night ride and a skills competition.

The charity night ride on Friday, November 7 benefited the Halifax Health Foundation and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Volusia/Flagler counties.

The annual Battle at the Beach was developed to provide motorcycle officers with a training environment to advance their skill of motorcycle operation and further their knowledge of these operations from different agencies across the southeast.
