Fran Davis
Executive Director, Halifax Health Hospice of Volusia/Flager
Fran Davis is Executive Director of Halifax Health Hospice of Volusia/Flagler, one of the largest hospices in the United States and an affiliate of Halifax Health. She has served in this position for three years and prior to that was the organization's Clinical Operations Manager.
Prior to joining Halifax Health, Davis owned and operated a proprietary home care agency in New York, which specialized in high-tech home care dialysis and ventilator nursing placement services.
She is secretary and a member of the Executive Committee of the Florida Hospice and Palliative Care Association and has been a member of the Florida Lutheran Retirement Center Advisory Board for the past five years. In 2004, Davis was awarded the Family Champion Award by WESHNews Channel 2 and the Orlando Sentinel, which celebrates executives who recognize families in the workplace through programs and flexibility to enhance family life.
Davis is committed to end-of-life care and improving the quality of life for all area residents. Under her leadership, Halifax Health-Hospice has opened two hospice inpatient care centers, in Orange City and Edgewater, to compliment the original 16-bed care center in Port Orange.
She received a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from the University of Phoenix and is currently working towards her Masters degree in Health.
