Al Alexander
Chief Human Resources Officer
Al Alexander is Halifax Health's Chief Human Resources Officer overseeing the human resources functions and processes for the health system. Mr. Alexander joined Halifax Health in 1996, serving as assistant administrator of human resources.
Prior to joining Halifax Health, he was vice president of human resources for Battle Creek Health System. There, he also served on the board of directors of Albion Health Services which operates Albion Community Hospital.
In addition to his healthcare experience, Mr. Alexander spent 11 years with Federal Express Corporation, in Atlanta, GA, Orange County, CA, and Memphis, TN, most recently as senior manager of employee relations. He began his career in human resources with General Motors Corporation and Ford Motor Company.
He is a member of the Society of Human Resources Management, holds a lifetime certification of Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and belongs to the American Compensation Association.
Alexander has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Ferris State University and a master's degree in industrial management from Central Michigan University.
