Halifax Health — Hospice of Volusia/Flagler’s Edgewater Care Center Open for Patients

Halifax Health – Hospice of Volusia/Flagler enjoyed a weeklong celebration in January to introduce its new Southeast Volusia Hospice Care Center to the community.

Members of the staff, community and media, as well as local dignitaries and VIPs, took part in events surrounding the grand opening of the Edgewater facility. The Care Center opened its doors to patients on Jan. 12.

The 17,000-square-foot facility is Hospice of Volusia/Flagler’s third Care Center. Other locations include Port Orange and Orange City.

To be eligible for Halifax Health – Hospice of Volusia/ Flagler services, a patient must live in Volusia or Flagler County, have a life-limiting diagnosis with a life expectancy of six months or less and have a desire to receive comfort, care and compassion instead of cure.
