Community Leaders Trust Their Health to Halifax Health:

John Graham, Banker and Heart Patient

John Graham, an executive at Floridian Bank, chose Halifax Health.
John Graham is Floridian Bank’s Market President for Volusia and Flagler counties and an active member of the community. When he had a cardiac stent implanted in 2007, he didn’t want his heart condition to slow down his busy lifestyle.

Since his procedure — which implanted a metal device to prop open blocked arteries — he has been vigilant about maintaining his health. So when he heard that Halifax Health offered advanced technology that could scan his arteries and show their condition in vivid detail, he made an appointment.

“While I was eager to have my arteries scanned by the equipment, the thought of doing it was a little intimidating,” said Graham. “However, the entire process was very easy and took very little time.”

The team at Halifax Health used the GE Discovery CT 750 HD imaging system to perform the scan. Compared to older technology, this tool delivers much higher-definition images and enhances the ability to diagnose disease and injuries while using half the amount of radiation.

“The staff at Halifax Health was knowledgeable and friendly and made me completely relaxed throughout the process,” said Graham. “And the information I received from the scan was well worth the small amount of time invested. Fortunately, the results were positive, which gave me a greater peace of mind about the condition of my heart,” he added.

Graham is a long-standing member and past president of the Halifax Health Foundation Board. He worked closely with Halifax Health during his many years at Daytona International Speedway.
