Letter to Our Community

As Halifax Health looks forward to a new fiscal year, we hope to build upon our organization’s many recent successes and achievements.

Since the opening of the France Tower, the Emergency Department has seen record volumes and decreased patient wait times. As of the end of July, we have completed the initial phase of the floor moves to the France Tower. Orthopedics, General Surgery, Telemetry, Intensive Surgical Care and Neuroscience have all successfully moved from the Fountain Building to the new tower. During this transition time, our staff has remained focused on offering a safe, quiet and healing atmosphere for patients and visitors.

Now more than ever, Halifax Health is working to operate more efficiently while continuing to find better ways to deliver the highest quality healthcare. And as we adjust along with the changing healthcare environment, Halifax Health’s top priority remains the same — serving the community.
