Letter from the CEO

For more than 80 years, Halifax Health has met the healthcare needs and exceeded the service expectations of our community. As we approach the end of fiscal year 2008, I would like to take this opportunity to reflect on the many great accomplishments of Halifax Health this year.

Numerous individual and team achievements have continued to demonstrate the strength and character of our workforce. Halifax Health was chosen as a 2008 Exceptional Employer by the Center for Business Excellence. We also were selected as the secondranking organization in the Orlando Sentinel?s Top 100 Companies for Working Families in Central Florida. Halifax Health has been the only organization in Volusia County to receive a top 25 ranking in each of the past five years, including a ranking among the top 10 employers for four straight years and the number one spot last year.

In addition, construction continues on our new patient tower. We also continue to invest in new technology. And, we?re always working to strengthen our leadership effectiveness.
