Halifax Health Launches Fellowship in Gynecologic Surgery

Halifax Health boasts expertise in the field of minimally invasive surgery. Now, it will help continue this tradition by training new physicians to perform minimally invasive surgeries in the reproductive system.

Halifax Health will be the first program in Florida and one of only 18 in the nation to participate in the accredited Gynecologic Endoscopy Fellowship program. The oneyear program will offer gynecologists who have completed their residency the chance to acquire additional surgical skills in laparoscopic and robotic surgery using Halifax Health facilities.

The fellowship will be under the medical directorship of Chris Stanley, MD, of Halifax OB-GYN Associates. “This fellowship will enable the faculty at Halifax Health to share our skills with doctors from around the country,” said Dr. Stanley. “It strengthens our commitment to teaching and enables us to provide the most advanced treatments to patients in the area.”
