Herbert D. Kerman, MD:
A Pioneer in Cancer Research
and Treatment for 60 Years

Herbert D. Kerman, MD, has committed more than 60 years of his life to the medical field. More than 50 of those years have been at Halifax Health. Herbert D. Kerman, MD, has committed A Florida native, Dr. Kerman became head of the Radiology Department at Halifax Health Medical Center in 1956. He had a unique vision of how cancer services could be provided, recognizing the need for a comprehensive, organized approach in all areas of care, from prevention and detection to treatment and research. Herbert D. Kerman, MD, has committed Dr. Kerman helped found The Hospice of Volusia/Flagler and the Regional Oncology Center. For his display of excellence in the field of radiation oncology, he was also recently honored as a Fellow by the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology. Herbert D.
