Patrick Dempsey Visits Speediatrics

Halifax Health President and CEO Jeff Feasel, The NASCAR Foundation Board Chairman Betty Jane France and actor Patrick Dempsey visit the Betty Jane France Center for Speediatrics.
Television’s Dr. McDreamy, Patrick Dempsey, recently paid a visit to the Halifax Health — Betty Jane France Center for Speediatrics. Dempsey was in Daytona Beach competing in the Rolex 24 Hour Race at the Daytona International Speedway.

Halifax Health president and CEO Jeff Feasel, along with other hospital officials and Betty Jane France, Chairman of the NASCAR Foundation, gave Dempsey an escorted tour of the 36-bed NASCARthemed pediatrics unit at Halifax Health Medical Center. While at the center, Dempsey visited and took photos with patients, families and staff members.

Dempsey has received significant public attention for portraying neurosurgeon Derek Shepherd in the drama “Grey’s Anatomy.” He was nominated for the 2006 and 2007 Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Television Drama for that role.

He currently is co-owner of the IndyCar Series team Vision Racing, which is based in Indianapolis.
