The Hospice of Volusia/Flagler
Offering Care and Dignity to
Residents of Central Florida

The Southeast Volusia Care Center is projected to serve about 1,000 patients in its first year. The 12-bed facility will provide more than 20 full-time jobs for the Southeast Volusia area, and more than 100 volunteer opportunities. The center is estimated to cost $5 million, $2.5 million of which The Hospice of Volusia/Flagler hopes to raise through a capital campaign and community partnerships.
“The need for a hospice care center in this community not only exists, but will continue to grow with the area’s population,” said Fran Davis, President and CEO of The Hospice of Volusia/Flagler. “The residents of New Smyrna Beach, Edgewater and Oak Hill have been very supportive of our new hospice care center, as well as the New Smyrna Beach The Hospice of Volusia/Flagler Offering Care and Dignity to Residents of Central Florida Hospice House that opened two years ago.”
The Hospice of Volusia/Flagler also opened the West Volusia Care Center in Orange City in December 2007. This 18- bed facility created 30 full-time jobs and 100 volunteer opportunities for the West Volusia area.
